Where are practices?
We try to keep the practices within a 3 mile radius of Lake Travis High School at the local elementary and middle schools.
For Tackle Football, there might be practices outside that radius given certain circumstances.
When are the first games?
The first Saturday of September is usually the start of the season unless it falls on Labor Day Weekend. Regular season
games are on Saturdays unless there is a makeup or playoff.
Who will we play?
You will play the other feeder organizations within AYF Central Texas for district games. There might be out of district
non-conference games with other leagues as well. Seasons are typically 7–9 games long depending on the makeup of
teams. Competition Tackle Football teams will play longer seasons if they make playoffs and move on to Regionals and
Nationals.
Are there volunteer commitments?
•
Yes, like all youth sports leagues, we are a nonprofit, volunteer run organization and are dependent upon parent
volunteers for coaching, concession duty, team parent duties, game day field chains, MPR (Minimum Play Count)
administration, board membership, and fundraising.
•
All families joining the Lake Travis Youth Football are required to participate in our fundraiser (selling raffle tickets
and creating a team basket).
•
Competition Tackle Football teams can have their own fundraising in addition to the required Lake Travis Youth
Football fundraiser, if there is a chance they might move on through playoffs.
